“Suspicious Package” At Bermuda College
[Updated] Emergency personnel responded to the Bermuda College at around 4.30/5.00pm this afternoon [Sept 17] following a a report of a suspicious package, with both the Bermuda Fire & Rescue Service and the Police Service seen in the area.
A College spokesperson said, “A suspicious package was found on campus this afternoon in the area of the science labs. In an abundance of caution, emergency services were called and the matter is under active investigation.”
Details are limited at this time, however we will update as able.
Update 7.22pm: Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson, Sgt. Russann Francis said, “At 4:32pm this afternoon, 911 Emergency Dispatch Center received a call regarding the receipt of a ‘suspicious package’ at the Bermuda College, Paget.”
“The Fire Service approached with all precautions, as is standard procedure for incidents of this nature, responding to the incident with 4 vehicles and 9 personnel. There was an ambulance on scene; however, there were no injuries as a result of this incident.”
So… what was it?
Even with an update they still cant say what was in the “suspicious package”? Matter of National (even though we are not a nation) security?

How? People who don’t have full time to commit or maybe cannot afford to go to school away go to Bermuda College. College credits are College credits whether they come from Harvard or community college. Pretty useful actually.
