Videos & Results: Clarien Iron Kids Triathlon

The 26th Annual Clarien Iron Kids Triathlon was held on Saturday [Sept 20] with junior triathletes aged 7 – 15 taking part in the swim, bike and run competition.

The Iron Kids Triathlon began in 1988 as a Gibbons Company event and was held at Shelly Bay Beach, and is now hosted by Clarien at Clearwater.

The event includes two competitive categories:

  • 1] Ages 7 – 10, which consists of a 100 meter swim, 2.5 mile bike and 0.5 mile run
  • 2] Ages 11 – 15, which consists of a 200 meter swim, 5 mile bike and 1 mile run.

In addition, kids ages 3 – 6 also participate in a non-competitive, abbreviated version of the course for fun, known as the Tiny Tots division, which consists of a 10 meter run, 250 meter bike and 50 meter run. 

Every Iron Kids participant receives a finisher’s medal, with top awards going to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in the Triathlon age group categories.

This year’s overall Iron Kids triathlon winners will receive funds placed in an Iron Kids Account:

Overall Female Fastest Time

  • First place: Madelyn Moore receiving $1000
  • Second place: Alyssa Rowse receiving $500
  • Third place: Lynsey Palmer receiving $250

Overall Male Fastest Time

  • First place: Matthew Oliveira receiving $1000
  • Second place: Max De Ste Croix receiving $500
  • Third place: Nicholas Pilgrim receiving $250

  • First place: Megan Hands
  • Second place: Zoe Hasselkuss
  • Third place: Mia Ferguson

7-10 Overall Racing Bike Male
