61 Year Old Man Denies Uttering Threats

October 3, 2014

Appearing in Magistrates Court this morning [Oct 3], 61 year old Monte Ible plead not guilty to uttering threatening words to a woman by telling her: “You have f—ked with the wrong one this time. You will be lucky if you leave the island this time because I will kill you.”

He also plead not guilty to unlawfully assaulting the same woman. Both alleged incidents are alleged to have occurred in Sandy’s Parish on 28th July 2014.

Just before setting a trial date, Senior Magistrate Archie Warner asked Mr Ible if he was or would be represented by a lawyer. Mr Ible replied: “No. I don’t think I need one. That will come out at trial.”

The Magistrate granted bail of $2,000, required Mr Ible to stay away from the complainant, and set trial for January 2015.
