The Bermuda Cricket Board [BCB] has confirmed the training schedule for the BCB National Academy Winter Program. The academy will run for 10 consecutive Sundays from October 12th to December 14th at BHS.

A number of players have been selected for fast-track training which provides more intensive personalized sessions in each of the skill disciplines:

  • 10 players will receive one on one batting coaching;
  • 4 players have been selected for wicket-keeping coaching;
  • 4 players for seam bowling; and
  • 4 players for spin bowling.

A spokesperson said, “These sessions run at different times from 11am to 1.30pm. The players not designated as Fast-track will be coached from 1.30pm and 3.30pm.”

BCB President, Lloyd Fray noted, “I am particularly pleased that our Academy system has been producing quality players for our national senior and age-group squads. The addition of more targeted coaching will provide greater opportunity for players to refine their skills.

“I encourage all players to take full advantage of this program which has been consistently recognized as world class by the ICC. I take this opportunity to thank our corporate sponsors that allow us to provide this outstanding opportunity FREE for our young people particularly the Bank of Bermuda Foundation and XL Foundation.”
