Two Deny Multiple Drug Charges In Court

Two men separately denied drug charges when they appeared in front of Senior Magistrate Archie Warner in Magistrates Court this morning [Oct 10].

Thirty nine year old Vincent Burch of Club Road Smith’s Parish plead not guilty to possessing diamorphine [heroin] that was intended for supply; cannabis that was intended for supply; and cocaine that was intended for supply. All allegations stem from a Police search in Southampton on 16th May 2014.

Senior Magistrate Archie Warner granted Mr Burch $10,000 bail, required him to provide a Surety, and set trial for January 2015.

Separately, 55 year old Pembroke resident Gladstone Moore plead not guilty to possessing cannabis intended for supply; and cannabis resin intended for supply on 11th May 2014.

Mr Moore also plead not guilty to obstructing police and to violently resisting arrest. Both these alleged offences are alleged to have occurred during a police intervention regarding the illegal drugs on 11th May 2014.

The Senior Magistrate set trial for December 2014 and granted Mr Moore $5,000 bail with one Surety.
