Douglas Replaces Manders For Malaysia Trip

October 8, 2014

The Bermuda Cricket Board confirmed that National Coach Arnold Manders is unable to travel to World Cricket League 3 with the Bermuda squad later this month due to health issues, and will be replaced for this tournament by Allan Douglas.

BCB President, Lloyd Fray, noted: “It is a very disappointing and unfortunate that we have had to make a change at this juncture after Arnold has been working with the squad in their preparation for this competition.

“The BCB will never take risks with people’s health and we totally support Arnold’s need to overcome his current condition. Fortunately, the BCB is able to utilize a very experienced and highly qualified coach to provide the support that the players need to be successful.

“Arnold will be working with Allan, Lorenzo and Janeiro to ensure that there is a smooth transition of responsibility. I urge all the players and support staff to leave no stone unturned to gain promotion to WCL 2 for our country and for Arnold.”
