Football: Samba Futsal Clinic Concludes
The Samba Futsal Clinic hosted by Denison Cabral [Brazilian Born - Technical Director of the United States Futsal Federation and President of DCFA] concluded this past Sunday, at The Bermuda College Gymnasium. The Samba Futsal Clinic focused on passing, dribbling, dynamic drills and a mini-tournament.
Denison Cabral says, “It was another successful Annual Samba Futsal Clinic in Bermuda! DCFA once again had an opportunity to work with over 40 young local talented players during the clinic, sharing some new drills and dynamic ways to improve the technical skills of the participants.
“The mini tournament on the last day of the event was a fun, close and very exciting competition among the participants. The Samba Futsal Clinic is a well-established, organized, and a very unique event hosted by Footy Force. DCFA is honored to be part of it and we are looking forward to the next year’s event.”
Denison Cabral was assisted at the Samba Futsal Clinic by Kate Laukhart [DFCA Girl’s Coach], Eurique Wilkin [Footy Force Futsal Senior Coach], Vinzie Zuill [President of Footy Promotions & Footy Force], Daniel Johnson [Ex-professional at Baltimore Blast – Goalkeeper Coach], and John Barry Nusum [Ex- professional at Philadelphia Kixx].
Vinzie Zuill, President of Footy Promotions says, “We are very pleased with the talented players that participated in The Samba Futsal Clinic. The girls involved showed a promising level of skill. We are very grateful to have DCFA come to Bermuda to help develop futsal. Denison Cabral and the supporting coaches brought a lot of energy and professionalism.
“The players were also exposed to opportunities that futsal can provide as they were coached by a technical director and ex-professionals. We have added this event to our calendar every year as we continue with our mission of player development through futsal. ”
