Terpilowski Appointed Fairmont Regional VP
Fairmont Hotels and Resorts [FRHI] has announced the appointment of George Terpilowski as Regional Vice President, Bermuda & Caribbean and General Manager, The Fairmont Southampton.
The following locations will be part of this new region: The Fairmont Southampton, The Fairmont Hamilton Princess, The Fairmont Mayakoba in Mexico on the Riviera Maya, and The Fairmont Royal Pavilion in Barbados.
Terpilowski was previously the Managing Director of Fairmont Bermuda and General Manager of The Fairmont Southampton, overseeing the $11.5 million guest room renovation of The Fairmont Southampton and the more than $90 million renovation and restoration project at The Fairmont Hamilton Princess.
This appointment reflects a regional re-structuring within the FRHI Americas Division, allowing Terpilowski to focus on Resort destinations with similar operational requirements and synergies.

“I am confident that George’s vast luxury hotel experience will be instrumental in leveraging the operational synergies between our Bermuda and Caribbean properties and growing the market share for each of these hotels.”
Mr. Terpilowski brings more than 30 years of hospitality experience to this position. His experience includes General Manager of the AAA Five-Diamond Jefferson Hotel in Richmond, Virginia; Managing Director of the Mobil Five-Star and AAA Five- Diamond The Clift in San Francisco; General Manager of Union Station Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee and the Brazilian Court in Palm Beach, Florida.
Terpilowski joined Fairmont Hotels & Resorts in 2002 as General Manager, Fairmont Washington D.C. and was appointed Managing Director, Fairmont Bermuda in 2011.
Mr. Terpilowski is an executive board member of the Bermuda Chamber of Commerce and the Bermuda Hotel Association and is the President of the Hotel Employers Board in Bermuda. Mr. Terpilowski will be based at The Fairmont Southampton in Bermuda.
