Three People Face Attempted Murder Charges

October 10, 2014

Appearing in Magistrates Court this morning [Oct 10], three people were charged with the attempted murder of Lionel Thomas on 30th April 2014; using a firearm to attempt the murder of Thomas and unlawfully possessing a firearm with the intent to cause harm to Thomas.

Because the charges were indictable and can only be tried in Supreme Court, Mr. Shelton Baker [24], Ms. Roshunte Davis [21] and Mr. Stacey Robinson [23] were not required to enter a plea.

Mr. Baker and Mr. Robinson were remanded into custody by Senior Magistrate Archie Warner, while Ms. Davis got $25,000 bail with one surety, with the Court ordering she must wear an electronic monitoring device.

If found guilty please, for “Jesus”sake, burn’em! Far too many have been walking from the Courts of Justice smiling :-(

  2. jonah says:

If they walk from the courts smiling, after a jury finds them not guilty, than there is a chance that they were indeed innocent. If innocent than why wouldn’t they smile?

We must be very careful that we don’t jail people simply because they fit the profile of a thug. This is still a country of laws and you are innocent until PROVEN guilty.

No great wealth has been amassed without a crime being committed. Yeah, I know, simply an assumption.
