Wet Weather Plan For Saturday’s Police Tattoo

As a result of impending inclement weather predicted for Saturday [Oct 11] a wet weather plan for the Police Tattoo has been put in place, and a formal decision will be announced at 3pm tomorrow.

The Police Tattoo is scheduled to be held the National Sports Centre in Devonshire at 7pm. Admission is free, with gates opening at 6pm. Scheduled to join the Royal Bahamas Police Force Band are the North Village Community Band, Somerset Brigade Band, Bermuda Regiment Band and the Bermuda Islands Pipe Band and Dancers.

A police spokesperson said, “As a result of impending inclement weather predicted for Saturday, October 11th a wet weather plan for the Police Tattoo has been enacted.

“In the event of rain tomorrow, formal communication will be disseminated to the media and through BPS channels of communication to alert the public as to the alternative plans.

“A formal decision will be made at 3pm tomorrow [Saturday] to announce the rain venue.

“The rain venue will be The Ruth Seaton James Centre for the Performing Arts.

There will be two performances: the first – a private performance [for the Commissioner’s Vision Award winners, their families and guests, and invited dignities at 6pm] followed by general admission at 8pm for all members of the community.

The police added that the Vision Award winners are welcome to bring as many guests as they like.
