      Glad the girl appears ok.

Drinking and driving remains tolerated on the island.

why would you say its tolerated, these people are being put in court and taken off the road, what more could be done within reason.

Now, with the more strict legislation requiring identification to purchase alcohol, it is as good a time as any to start cracking down on drunk driving. Checkpoints outside of town EVERY weekend. No matter how many people have to be locked up, we have to get the point across. It is culturally acceptable in Bermuda to drink and drive and the only way to change that is with drastic measures.
