November 26, 2014

An 82 year old man was injured in a cycle collision yesterday [Nov 25] in Hamilton, receiving minor injuries in the Church Street collision.

A police spokeperson said, “Around 12:30pm on Tuesday, November 25th first responders were dispatched to a reported single vehicle collision on Church Street in the City of Hamilton, near the junction with Parliament Street.

“It appears that an 82 year old Devonshire man was riding an auxiliary cycle along Church Street when he fell off. The senior citizen was apparently uninjured and assisted by members of the public in the area until the arrival of EMTs.

“He was then transported from the scene to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for medical assessment as a precaution and later discharged.”

82 is a bit old to be riding a motor bike around. Not only dangerous for him but for others as well.
