This is so scary. I hope there are plenty of cameras at Heron Bay to catch the criminal.

Perhaps its time we start considering a heavy handed approach to resolving the madness.

    • Raymond Ray says:

That’ll be the only deterrent, “fight fire with fire”. Too much of this crap has been / is taking place on this Island and stiff time sentencing is overdue! The Courts must come down hard on anyone convicted of armed robbery or attempted murder / murders. As they use to say, “throw the key away”.

      • sebring says:

you can’t fight fire with fire ! (regardless of race)if the thief is shot there will be marches and ralies! catch them and give them a slap in the hand and some judge drivel ! and pray they don’t do it again ! sometimes sir people will only see what they want to see unless some innocent by stander gets shot !

further more direct to customs and immigration someone is not giving the government value for money !

  4. duh says:

Cameras don’t prevent crime.. we need more than 1 police boat stop the importation of weapons.. n maybe real security at the docks. Bullets are not made in bermuda…

    • LOL (Original TM*) says:

Wait what happened to the xray machine that customs at the dock was suppose to have………?

      LOL

      • Micro says:

Ha, these items aren’t only coming through the ports, they’re being dumped offshore to be picked up by a local boat or handed over directly to a waiting boat to bring to shore; no need to go through customs.

    • Micro says:

There’s been talking for years now about using the Regiment in that regard, guess that’ll never happen.

  5. Ms. S says:

We need to catch those losers of society and make an example of them. Enough is enough.

  6. and I'm sticking to it says:

Crime just took another level. Wake up Bermuda. We are all connected in some shape or form. Anything that you know it should be reported to authorities. Its only a matter of time before you will feel affects of criminal action.

  7. joank says:

We need to get like the UK there are cameras EVERYWHERE.but of course in Bermuda there would be no monitoring and no upkeep of the equipment. Great creation of jobs ya think?

    • Keepin' it Real!...4Real! says:

I know!!!…WHY DON’T WE ALL GET THE NEW RFID CHIP!!..that way every step you take can be recorded…yeah that’s the solution to all your woes…just run the timeline through the trusty ol’pc an it’ll pick out whose number was at that geological location at that time…don’t even need Police…yeah their days are numbered too(job wise), sorry jus don need ya bro.

  8. Mr.Ed says:

  12. southampton says:

Within the last year all within a one mile radius (maybe less) you have,

2 fire arm discharges Riveria Estate
1 fire arm discharge main entrance to Southampton Princess
1 hold up, gun brandished (?) at Raynors
1 hold up, gun brandished at Mr Chicken
1 attempted hold up, gun brandished(?) Wok Express

thats quite a bit of fire arm activity in a small area…..

    A THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor. If an elephant has its foot on the tail of a mouse and you say that you are neutral, the mouse will not appreciate your neutrality. -Desmond Tutu, clergyman (b. 1931)

  20. Fred says:

    Here’s a crazy idea
Let’s find a way to create more jobs… To many young people out there like myself can’t find work. Maybe more people will stay out of trouble if they could actually support themselves

    • Christopher James says:

Here’s another crazy idea Fred: Educate people so they don’t make a simple grammatical error TWICE IN A ROW.

Maybe then they’d pass the online test and be able to get an interview for a job.

  21. Oh,I see now says:

People tend to over look the fact that even with more jobs these thugs still can’t be in certain areas.I will not hire a person that has a bullet with his name on it working for me.Even if they want to change their enemies have long memories and will not let them forget past transgression.

  22. Oh,I see now says:

If someone shot your brother and you saw him on a construction site next to your house are you telling me you will look the other way.I do not condone gang violence in fact I hate it but this is the life these guys have made for themselves. It is obvious nothing was thought through in the beginning and “THE LIFE” has taken on a life of its own.I bet if you took a secret poll among them they would embrace their old lives in a heartbeat.
