Bermuda Arts Council Holds Awards Ceremony

The Bermuda Arts Council recently held their Annual Awards Ceremony honouring the Bermuda’s Pillars of the Arts. Awards were presented for Lifetime Achievement, Patron of the Arts and Founder Awards.

In his opening remarks, The Minister of Community, Culture and Sports Wayne Scott said, “Our distinguished awardees have inspired entertained and supported the development of our vibrant and diverse Arts community in Bermuda. Whether it is performing or fine arts, the awardees have blessed us because they chose to share their talents and gifts with us.”

Arts Council 2014 Achievement Awardee

Minister Scott added, “We celebrate those artists who have helped and continue to bring ‘life’ and ‘vibrancy’ for all to enjoy. We are forever indebted to you and thank you for your commitment to preserving and cultivating the Arts in Bermuda and the world.”

Chair of the Bermuda Arts Council, Tona Symonds stated, “Honouring those who have shaped, contributed to and supported the arts in Bermuda is one of the Council’s most rewarding mandates.”

    Very Warm Congratulations to All… BUT , how-come (despite years and years of Brilliant Live-Entertainment ) Rock Singer Songwriter Will Black (Hamilton’s Hog Penny) is not on this list???
