Roy Allan Burch Sets National Record In Mexico

November 20, 2014

Bermuda’s Roy-Allan Burch set a new Bermuda record during the 2014 Central American and Caribbean Games now taking place in Mexico, becoming the first Bermudian swimmer to drop under 25 seconds in the 50m butterfly.

The record came as Burch was competing in the preliminaries of the men’s 50m butterfly, with the two-time Olympian touching the wall in a time of 24.77.
