GEW logo - COLOUR WHEELGlobal Entrepreneurship Week officially starts today. The GEW Bermuda Host Committee launched the week on November 6th with presentations from Biz Camp winners and since the 6th has had several events including the BEDC Annual Networking event on November 13th where 25 vendors mingled with close to 100 existing and aspiring entrepreneurs.

Vendors on hand represented a range of industries, including insurance, management consulting, IT, Marketing, Legal, Government benefits and business consulting.

With the goal to inspire young people to embrace innovation, imagination and creativity, Global Entrepreneurship Week encourages youth to think big and turn their ideas into reality.

To help the GEW Bermuda Committee fulfill these objectives, there are a lineup of activities and events that will take place this week. Most of these events are free of charge and are able to be registered for on the GEW Bermuda Facebook page.

The Bermuda Host Committee consists of representatives from: the Bermuda Economic Development Corporation [BEDC], the Department of E-Commerce, and The Youth Entrepreneurship Initiative [YEI] of Bermuda supported by a GEW Working Committee comprised of local entrepreneurs.

Joining these organizations to celebrate entrepreneurship in Bermuda are local partners and sponsors including: the Department of Ecommerce, Bermuda Tourism Authority, PwC Bermuda, BPSU, HSBC Bermuda, Butterfield Bank, KPMG, Deep Blue Communications, Global Research, Amicus Corporate Services, Goslings, Suite Solutions, XL, The Chamber of Commerce, INTO Bermuda, Bermuda Commercial Bank, Socialee Consulting, Dragon Fly Ink Business Services, Coffee Works, the Corporation of Hamilton, Digicel Business, Ontru, the Bermuda College.
