Exhibit To Showcase “Elements of Paradise”
A local artist is getting set to present an exhibit of her work at the Bermuda Society of Arts at City Hall in Hamilton, opening from 5.00pm through 7.00pm on November 21, 2014.
Artist Melanie Francis will be showcasing her pieces at the show, dubbed Elements of Paradise, through December 9, with the exhibit available for viewing from 10.00am through 4.00pm from Monday to Friday and from 10.00am to 2.00pm on Saturdays.
Ms. Francis said, “I grew up in India, traveled and studied a traditional and technically challenging art form in India with a traditional master in Istanbul, London, Granada and Fez.
“I’ve lived on and off in Bermuda since the 1970s, where I fell in love with the awesome beauty of nature here. Ever since I lived here, I have sensed deeply the awesome spirituality in nature.”
“Last year, I returned to India and my Master Ajay Sharma for three months, came back to Bermuda, and decided to do a show; it’s been a long time since I’ve done one here.
“I think we are all searching for a paradise of sorts, an inward journey, a goal, a feeling, a thought, and are often inspired by external beauty in nature, so what better place to begin than the rich garden paradise that is Bermuda?”
