Musson Replaces Stewart As RA Chairman

Information Technology executive Kent Stewart, who has been Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Regulatory Authority since it came into operation in January, 2013, is near the end of his statutory term [which expires in January 2015] has stepped down as Chairman to allow for a smooth transition during the impending appointment of a new Chief Executive, the RA said.

His place has been taken by Regulatory Authority Commissioner Carl Musson. Mr Stewart will continue to serve as a Commissioner until the next Commissioner is appointed.

Mr Stewart oversaw the building of the Regulatory Authority from scratch in a very short period of time and a major reform of the electronic communications industry.

Mr Musson said of Mr Stewart, “He has taken us through the formative years of the Authority and we are enormously grateful for his invaluable contributions.”
