“Sigma Xi Omega’s 25 year history has seen continued support of Bermudian artists. Their first initiative in 1991 was an Exhibition of Art by Bermudian females. In later years they were the Bermuda representatives for the Hal Jackson’s Talented Teens International Scholarship Program [HJTT],” a spokesperson said.

“Next week they will continue this legacy of supporting the Arts in Bermuda as they partner with Ms. Robin Givens as she once again highlights a full Bermudian cast including past HJTT winner, Canjalae Taylor.

“Also joining the cast Thanksgiving weekend, will be legendary gospel singer Dottie Peoples and American Idol contestant Loren Lott.

“Along with their support of the Arts, Sigma Xi Omega Chapter has served Bermuda in a variety of ways – funding a brick for the Legacy Walk for the Bermuda Charitable Trust campaign, prescription card donations to Age Concern, assisting with various tag days including our own in order to raise funds for seniors and our yearly scholarships, monthly service of dinner to those in need at the Salvation Army and the list continues.

“Performances of “Joy in the Morning” will be held at the Ruth Seaton James Centre for the Performing Arts on November 27 – 29, 2014. Tickets may be purchased at BDATIX.com or at 27th Century Boutique.”

Congratulations to the AKAs! If this production is in any way like her last show, Bermuda is in for a real treat!! I can remember sitting on the edge of my seat as performer after performer took the roof off of the house. I also believe this show was Canjelae Taylor’s theatrical debut. I can’t wait!!
