Two People Injured In Collisions In Paget, Sandys

A 16 year old female was injured in a car and cycle collision on Saturday in Paget, while a 56 year old man was injured in a collision in Sandys on Friday.

A police spokesperson said, “Around 5:40pm on Saturday, November 22nd first responders were dispatched to a reported two vehicle collision on South Road in Paget near the junction with Stowe Hill.

“It appears that a car was being driven along South Road and an auxiliary cycle was being ridden along the same road when the vehicles collided.

“The injured rider, a 16 year old Devonshire girl, was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment and later discharged. There were no other injuries reported. Inquiries are ongoing and any witnesses should contact Constable Caleb Jn Pierre on the main police telephone number 295-0011.”

A police spokesperson said, “Around 4:20pm on Friday, November 21st first responders were dispatched to a reported two vehicle collision at the junction of Somerset Road and School Lane in Sandys parish.

“It appears that a car was being driven along Somerset Road and a motorcyclist was exiting School Lane when the collision occurred. The injured rider, a 56 year old Warwick man, was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. At last check he was recovering in stable condition on a general ward. There were no other injuries reported.

“Inquiries are ongoing and any witnesses should contact Constable Dennis Joell on the main police telephone number 295-0011.”
