Bermuda Goodwill Golf Round #3 Results
The Bermuda Goodwill Golf Tournament continued at Port Royal, Riddell’s Bay, Mid Ocean Club and Tuckers Point Club after a day of rest the previous day.
Ladies Division NET
Finishing the day with a two shot lead are the ladies from HI5 Golf. They shot 61 at Riddell’s Bay while the Ladies from Riddell’s Bay were able to shot 63. In third are the ladies from St. Georges Golf Club who fired 61 to finish with [-24].
Ladies Division GROSS
Weston Golf Club goes into the final round with a 2 shot lead [-7] after finishing the day at Riddell’s Bay with a 71. Close behind them in second place is Georgian Bay Club [-5] with an impressive 66. In third place with [-4] is the Country Club of New Bedford who also shot 66 at Riddell’s Bay.
Men’s Junior Division GROSS
Riverside Country Club appear to have the gross division locked up as they finished round three with a 12 shot lead after shooting 62 today in their rotation. Fighting for second place all at [-14] are the Breakers West Reece Jones team shooting 68 today, Donalda Club “A” shooting 64 and Hi5 Golf finishing the day with 66.
Men’s Junior Division NET
Hidden Valley Golf Club and Port Royal Golf Club are tied for the lead with one round remaining.
Hidden Valley finished the day with a 59 while Port Royal Golf Club finished with 57. Both teams only hold a 1 shot lead over third place team Riverside Country Club who are [-39] and finished the day with a 58.
Senior’s Division Gross
After Three round of Golf, The Lakes Golf Club take a 3 shot lead [-18] with rounds of 64, 65 and 65. Right on their heels is Lambton Golf Club “E” [-15] with rounds of 64, 63 and 70. At [-12] is the local team from Ocean View Golf Club who have moved up the leader board with scores of 69, 67 and 64.
Seniors Division Net
It is shaping up to be a very tight race to the finish in the Senior Net Division. Bellewood Golf Club have the lead with a total of [-30] after scores of 59, 59 and 64. One shot back, [-29] is the team from Bedrock Golf Club with scores of 62, 61 and 60. Rounding out the top 3 are the teams from Apawamis and local club Riddell’s Bay Golf Club. Both teams have a total of [-28]. Teams will have to continue their steady play tomorrow in order to finish on top.
Professional Divisions
Ladies
Karen Nicoletti took advantage of the beautiful weather and great course conditions at the Riddell’s Bay Golf Club with an impressive 22 points. She continues to stay ahead of Jen Jaszek who is in second place with 51 points while Megan Chapman is in third with 48 Points. The ladies take on Mid Ocean Club for the final round.
Junior Men
Zach Johnson made easy work of Tuckers Point Club today shooting 64 and moving ahead on the leader board with 24 points bringing his 3 day total to 61. Tied for second are GW King and Terry Hatch who have both held the lead this week and finish round 3 with a total of 56 points. In third place with 55 points are James Ondo and Chris Moody.
Senior Men
Danny Mijovic continued his fine play today and gained 19 points taking his total to 57. He goes into the final round with a 4 shot lead over Dave Wettlaufer who also had 19 points today. Tied for 3 are past winner Scott Spence, Daniel St. Louis and Ted Griffin all with 51 points.
Final round takes place tomorrow. If a playoff is needed to determine a winner, it will take place at Riddell’s Bay Golf Club starting at 3:30pm.
