Huddersfield Seeking New Striker To Join Wells

December 29, 2014

Huddersfield Town Manager Chris Powell says he’ll be looking for another striker to join Bermuda’s Nahki Wells after the return of loan man Grant Holt to Wigan Athletic.

“Nahki will get games and will score goals,” Powell told the Huddersfield Examiner, after the 24-year-old Bermudian came off the bench yesterday to score for the first time since November 1 yesterday.

Highlights of Huddersfield’s game against Bolton Wanderers yesterday, including Wells goal:

“He is an important player. He might not think that when he doesn’t start but I know 100 per cent what he is capable of. We have to make sure we have the platform for him to play and score goals,” added Mr Powell.

Powell, who started with James Vaughan and Harry Bunn as his front two, added: “We are light up front and we will be looking to strengthen in January.”
