28 Yr Old Man Charged With Wounding His Wife

Appearing in Magistrates Court this morning [Dec 19], a 28-year-old man was charged with wounding his wife.

David Hill had previously appeared in Court yesterday, before Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo where he pleaded guilty to an old charge of speeding.

The Magistrate fined him $400. After a short pause, Mr Hill said, “I ain’t gon’ pay it. I’ll be honest with you. How much time I gotta’ do?”

The Magistrate replied, “Forty days.” Mr Hill replied, “Pretty.”

This morning, Mr Hill re-appeared and plead not guilty to a charge he unlawfully wounded his wife.

Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo set 19 January as a Mention date and recognized that Mr Hill’s current incarceration would continue.
