Two Injured At Motocross Boxing Day Classic

December 28, 2014

The 2014/15 Motocross Season got underway on Boxing Day [Dec 26] at the Southside Moto Sports Park, but not without incidents.

Zamair Darrell injured his wrists early in the day and Tristan Rocha suffered a concussion. Bermuda Motorcross Club Secretary Mel Mitchell said he spoke with Zamair Darrell’s father who said he will be going for x-rays during the week and “his spirits are good and Zamair is bouncing back.”

Speaking on Tristan Rocha’s injury, Mitchell said, “I spoke with Mr. Rocha this evening who said Tristan is currently in ICU as he had internal bruising and bleeding in his head. He was up and talking and there for observation. He too said Tristan’s spirits were good and asking about his bike! Mr. & Mrs. Rocha also thanks all for their calls and prayers during this time.”
