Two Men Injured In Motorcycle Collision

Two motorcycle riders — aged 22 and 55 — were injured in a collision on Middle Road in Southampton last night, with both men now in stable condition on a general ward in the hospital.

A police spokesperson said, “Around 8:30pm on Thursday, December 4th first responders were dispatched to a reported two motorcycle collision on Middle Road in Southampton in the vicinity of the Port Royal Fire Station.

“It appears that the motorcycles were being ridden in opposite directions when the collision occurred. Both riders, a 22 year old Sandys parish man and a 55 year old Southampton man respectively, sustained leg injuries.

“They were transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. At last check both men were recovering in stable condition on a general ward.

“There were no other injuries reported.

“Inquiries regarding this collision are ongoing and any witnesses should contact Constable Sean Simons at the Somerset Police Station on telephone number 234-1010.”
