BRFU: Devrae’s Impact Will Never Be Forgotten

January 7, 2015

January 8th marks the one year anniversary of the untimely passing of one of the Bermuda Rugby Football Union’s most passionate members,Devrae Noel-Simmons.

“Devrae was heavily involved in Bermuda Rugby at many levels; As a Player, a Coach, and an Executive Committee Member,” the BFRU said.

“He was a larger than life character who gave much of himself to rugby, its development and the youth that participated in the sport.

“Devrae loyally served the BRFU for many years and volunteered his time and worked tirelessly to build Bermuda Rugby from the grass roots level upwards. He mentored our U14 and U16 National Teams, Berkley, TN Tatem Middle School, Purvis and Francis Patton Primary Schools. He was also Fitness Coach to our Women’s National Team, and Head Coach of his beloved Teachers RFC at the time of his passing.
