Garbage Collection Disrupted Due To Meeting

The ongoing Bermuda Trade Union Congress [BTUC] meetings have lead to a disruption in household garbage collection the Ministry of Public Works said today [Jan 27], and they have encouraging the public to take their waste to the Tynes Bay Public Drop Off.

A Ministry of Public Works spokesperson said, “The Waste Management Section of the Ministry of Public Works would like to advise the public that household garbage collection today has been disrupted due to industrial action for the past two days.

“We will continue to provide the public with an update regarding waste collection.

“The public is encouraged to take household waste, recycling and bulky items to the Tynes Bay Public Drop Off which is free and open seven days a week: Monday to Friday from 9am until 6pm, Saturday from 7am until 7pm, and on Sunday from 1pm until 6pm.”

    Didn’t Premier (former) Cannonier tell us 2 weeks ago that he would straighten out the delayed trash pickup issue?

    How about give the trash collection responsabilty to the union!!!!!!! Lets dump our trash to the union and let FUrbert deal with that too!!!!!
