Kim Wilson To Hold Job Readiness Workshop
Constituency #34 Sandys South Central MP Kim Wilson has teamed up with the Department of Workforce Development to host a Job Readiness Workshop aimed at helping to get Bermudians back to work.
The workshop will include tips and training on developing critical job ready skills such as interviewing and resume’ writing, effective communication and other skills needed to assist participants to get “job ready.
Ms. Wilson states, ”As I canvass the area, I meet many people, both underemployed and unemployed, who are looking to better prepare and market themselves in their pursuit to secure gainful employment.
“With the recession that descended on the local workforce in 2008 came a much tighter job marker across every sector. Developing and improving upon such skills will only serve to increase a persons prospects of getting employed.
MP Wilson added, “Those in attendance will gain a working knowledge of the best tools and strategies needed to maximize opportunities and promote themselves.
The Job Readiness Workshop is open to the public and will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2015, from 11:00-3:00 at the Somerset Cricket Club.

Now if the government and the civil serice can just get out of the way and allow jobs to be created there will be jobs available for people:
Too much regulation
Too much taxes
Too many forms
Too much government competing with private enterprise
Too many government departments to report to
