Chapel Of Ease To Hold Searfarers Service
The Chapel of Ease in St. David’s will be holding its Annual Seafarers Service on 18th January at 11:00am, with the event notice saying the ”special guest” will be the Rt. Rev. Nicholas Dill, Bishop of Bermuda.
In describing the service, the church’s website says: “Bermuda’s seafarers gather together at the Chapel of Ease in St David’s to pay their respects to their comrades lost at sea. St David’s Islanders in particular have always had a strong association with all things maritime. Following the service, memorial wreaths are taken out by boat and committed to the waters of the sea.
