No Injuries At Mill’s Point Road House Fire
The Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service responded to a house fire on Mill Point Road in Pembroke at approximately 6am this morning [Feb 5]. The fire was extinguished and there was extensive smoke and heat damage throughout the residence but no injuries have been reported.
Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson Sergeant Russann Francis said, “At approximately 6:04 am Thursday, February 5, 2015 the Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service responded to a report of “a house on fire with lots of smoke” at a residence at Mill Point Road, Pembroke.
“The Fire Service responded to the incident with 2 vehicles and 8 personnel. Two firefighters dressed in breathing apparatus extinguished the fire.
“The fire which was contained to the basement, was extinguished with one 1 ½” hose line; however, there was extensive smoke and heat damage throughout the residence.
“There were no injuries. At present the fire is under investigation.”
