Good. It was a waste of money to begin with.

    • Mockingjay says:

Just in time for America’s Cup, I wonder how much the last person that was there paid and NO they weren’t the Premier at the time.

      • serengeti says:

Dunno. There have been quite few non-Premiers at the time who have lived there. Let’s add it ALL up and see what they ALL paid.

        • aceboy says:

Yea, a bunch of jazz musicians were there at one point.

One guess as to who was Premier at the time.

    • I'm Just Sayin' says:

Do you know haow much it costs to se up & secure the Premier’s private residece everytime the post holder changes?

      • serengeti says:

Fair point. But I am sure it’s less than one year’s rental income.

      • Creamy says:

Well, at least one Premier refused to live there and spent taxpayer money having his house upgraded. So, yeah, it is a waste of money. Rent it or sell it.

  2. Not exactly says:

Kudos Premier Dunkley. Now we need to sell off whatever other un(der)used Government properties we can.

Considering what I pay for a night at Cambrige Beaches, it’s a steal. Now can I get it for only two weeks?

  5. swing voter says:

sell it along with government house and any other vacant property of value….yes government house is mostly vacant

  6. Sky Pilot says:

Only Insurance and Private Businesses could afford this, meanwhile we have how many homeless and existing in caves and tents?

  7. Ace girl says:

Well done OBA these are the types of extravagances we do not need! There are a number of government properties that need restoration and rented.
How much did the PLP spend renovating this property, because it was too far to travel from St George’s every day, then Mr Cannonier jumped on the bandwagon. Oh how the mighty have fallen…( into a new portfolio). Politics does not make sense!!!! Doesn’t matter who is in power.

  8. Karma says:

Oh, goody! I was wondering where I could find a place with an exorbitant rent…NOT!

  9. Just sayin says:

Easy solution on this rental. Put that over paid fella from the tourism board that govt pays in it. Let him pay the rent. Rent goes back to govt. Win win

  10. M Mellie says:

Perhaps the house could be used as a recovery ward for all these terribly poorly bus drivers. Nobody is giving these men a single thought. There they are sufferring at home with whatever illness it is that they have all come down with, I think the least Government could do is open up the house for these hard working but unfortunately very sick bus drivers.

These drivers are too sick to go to work – its as if Government doesn’t care!!
