“Mrs. Lessa is a member of the Christian Science Board of Lectureship, and tours the world providing free lectures to the public, on topics of specific interest to communities. Mrs. Lessa quotes Mary Baker Eddy the founder of the religion in stating: “Your decisions will master you, whichever direction they take….Stand porter at the door of thought. Admitting only such conclusions as you wish realized in bodily results, you will control yourself harmoniously.”

Her lecture will offer practical answers to bad habits, making decisions, and relationship and health challenges.

  1. Nonsense says:

Do not ever let these people get a foothold in Bermuda, the last thing we need is this pseudo made up nonsense in our society and or challenging our already struggling schools.

    • PBanks says:

Christian Science isn’t the same branch as Scientology, by the way. And if I’m not mistaken the Church of Christ Scientist has been around in Bermuda for some years now.

  2. sandgrownan says:

We need less religious nutters not more in Bermuda.

Incidentally, do you know what Mark Twain said of Mary Baker Eddy’s writings (the founder of the Christian Science Movement) ? “Chloroform in print”.

Mary Baker Eddy argued in her book Science and Health (1875) that sickness is an illusion that can be corrected by prayer alone.

IS this good for Bermuda.??.a day before hundreds of children shave their heads to help fund child cancer research..should we tell them to stop and pray instead.

  4. Will says:

The nonsense is in the name! Just like Scientology…they so crazy they can’t understand it means study of science…and now Christian science, I mean cmon really..I’ve seen Christian science text books at schools and they boggle my mind far beyond the realms of logic.
