Scholarship Winners To Be Announced March 11

March 6, 2015

The Alliance Française des Bermudes, a registered charity, held its annual contest again this year for high school students, with full and half scholarships offered to students between 14 and 17-years-old, giving them the opportunity to spend one month in France this summer.

The winners’ names will be announced during the Occitania Night at the Dinghy Club on March 11, 2015 at 7.00pm.

Students who receive the scholarships will study French for three weeks in an internationally acclaimed French school in Cannes on the French Riviera, and will enjoy four days of guided cultural excursion in Paris.

A spokesperson said, “Join us to congratulate the winners and to discover the rich culture and traditions of Southwest of France, where the Occitan language used to be spoken. Enjoy a traditional cocktail and buffet of specialty.”

Tickets for Occitania Night cost $60 for members and $75 for non-members, including buffet and cocktail. Tickets can be purchased at Pulp and Circumstance until March 8. To RSVP, email martine.purssell@law.bm.
