Man Injured In St. George’s Motorcycle Collision

[Updated] Emergency service personnel responded to a collision at approximately 6.00pm today [March 4] on Mullet Bay Road near the junction with Wellington Slip Road.

Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service EMTs tended to an injured man at the collision which involved at least one motorcycle seen damaged at the location.

Bystanders described two men being injured in the incident with the second receiving less serious injuries and refusing transport to hospital. The other injured man was taken to King Edward Memorial Hospital for treatment while Police investigated the accident scene.

Update March 5, 11.43am: A police spokesperson said, “Around 5:55pm on Wednesday, March 4th Police and first responders where dispatched to a reported two vehicle collision that took place on Mullet Bay Road in St. Georges near to the junction with Wellington Slip Road.

“It appears that two motorcycles where travelling along Mullet Bay when the collided. Both riders a 40 year old St. Georges male and a 33 year old St. Georges male where taken to KEMH where they were treated for their injuries and later released. Both vehicles also received extensive damages. An investigation into this collision is ongoing.

    Good grief… NOT again!! Everyday there is an accident?? The Island never had so many accidents before – especially when I lived there for 35+ yrs!! The courts are going to have to get serious with all these reckless – speeding and DUI drivers!!

    You have to start thinking about the “innocent road users” at some point!! It’s not rocket science!!
