Sunday March 15th: “Good News” Spotlight

Bermuda played host to a number of positive stories over the past week, with some of the good news including the Outstanding Teen Award winners being named, over $115,000 raised for St. Baldrick’s, KBB announcing its Appreciation Award winners, the island moving up in FIFA world rankings, and 2.5 acres of land being gifted to the Audubon Society.

Other good news stories over the past week included Outside magazine naming Bermuda as the ‘Best Island’ for travel, Chiko’s Smokey Rub making its way to the Azores, Digicel renewing Dominque Mayho’s sponsorship, Elle Online featuring Bermuda’s Shiona Turini, the Bermuda rugby team defeating Turks & Caicos 55-3, Gymnast Tabytha Hofheins winning gold in Montreal, and James Stout winning the U.S. Singles racquets title.

We also posted various community videos and photo galleries, including the Bermuda Triple Challenge, St. Baldrick’s, the All-Star Basketball Game, students enjoying World Book Day, Bermuda footballers defeating Grenada, the Middle School Underwater Robot Contest, the BSoA Primary School Student Art Show, as well as rugby, cycling and motorcross racing
