Court: Woman Denies Assault & Damaging Car
Appearing in Magistrates Court this morning [Apr 6], a 38-year-old woman denied assaulting another woman and damaging her car.
Ms Makeba Peets pleaded not guilty to unlawfully assaulting another woman on 13 February 2015. Ms Peets also pleaded not guilty to, on the same date, unlawfully damaging the other woman’s car, causing over $410 damage.
Both alleged incidents took place in Hamilton Parish.
Senior Magistrate Juan Wolffe set trial for June 2015 and set bail at $2,000 with one surety. The Senior Magistrate also ordered that Ms Peets must have no contact with the complainant.
