Victim Recovering, Suspect Remains In Custody
The 54-year-old man injured in an assault yesterday morning [April 23] in Smiths is in stable condition on a general ward at the hospital while the 58-year-old man arrested shortly afterwards remains in police custody, the police confirmed today.
A police spokesperson said, “At last check the 54 year old Smith’s parish man injured during an assault that occurred around 10:30am Thursday, April 23rd on Cloverdale Road in Smith’s parish was recovering in stable condition on a general ward at the hospital while the suspect, a 58 year old man arrested shortly afterwards, remained in police custody.”
