Asthma Experts Set To Present On The Island

Asthma expert Professor Martyn Partridge will be presenting on the island on Thursday, April 16 at the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute beginning at 6.00pm.

The event flyer says, “Come and be inspired to take control of your asthma today. Professor Martyn Partridge is a Professor of Respiratory Medicine and Patient Centred Care, National Heart and Lung Institute at Imperial College London, past President of the British Thoracic Society [BTS], and previous Chief Medical Adviser to Asthma UK.”

Another related presentation, dubbed ‘Asthma in Childhood,’ will be held by Dr. Richard Fulton, Pediatrician, Edgewood Pediatric Services, beginning at 5.00pm. The presentation will include quick demonstrations of good inhaler technique and a quick review of triggers.

“From 5.00pm, nurses will be available to offer asthma education. Free spacers and microfiber cloths for those attending presentation. Come and learn how to clean your home without chemicals. Space is limited, so please don’t be late. Please do not bring young children.”
