Public Works Ministry: Paget Works Complete

May 5, 2015

The Ministry of Public Works said they would like to advise motorists using Middle/South Road in the vicinity of Paget traffic lights that all of the necessary wall repair works have been completed.

“I am very thankful for the Public Works team as they were able to complete this work way ahead of schedule. We originally anticipated that the wall would take about a week to repair and we were expecting to finish on Friday 8th May, but it was completed on Sunday 3rd May”, said Minister of Public Works, Craig Cannonier.

“Our crew has done a great job here and this wall was repaired very quickly so that there would be very little disruption to motorists.”

Both lanes of the road are now open to traffic.

You have got to be kidding me? Good job?? I counted 12 men there sunday. It takes 12 men (on a Sunday at that) to lay 50 blocks? I felt like I must have been on Candid Camera..

Doesn’t Craig catch on that these guys inflate the time to do a job so that they can slack off and still come in on time? Isn’t there a Roads Engineer at W&E who looks at the job and costs it out for time and materials?

If only they, (W & E) crew can get that stretch of road along Palmetto Rd. / Marsh Folly area done in a week :-(
