ICC U19 Championship 2015

Lloyd Fray, President of the BCB, said “We are extremely pleased to host another international ICC tournament on home soil and we fully expect to showcase Bermuda’s unique heritage, culture and world famous hospitality in July. ”

I would like to thank the Government of Bermuda for their support and assistance in securing this prestigious event and Gatorade for being the tournament’s official drinks sponsor. In addition, our National Academy program would not be what it is without the continued support from the XL Foundation and the Bank of Bermuda Foundation.

“The BCB National Academy Program provides elite young cricketers of Bermuda the opportunity to develop life skills and cricket skills, knowledge and understanding to enhance their performance and provide opportunities for them to play at a first class or international level. I encourage all of Bermuda to come out to support these young men to qualify for the ICC U19 World Cup 2016.”

This is the age group we need to be supporting if we’re to produce competent cricketers. Unfortunately, our seniors team isn’t interested and do lack the ambition of this up-coming team :-( Good luck in your endeavours you bies’

Congratulations to the fellas in the team ……..hoping that the many unchecked shortcomings in the Bermuda Cricket Boards hierarchy and the frat house mentality that the senior national squad have been ingrained with that have failed the international program many times before doesn’t affect this teams performance and this is truly a new day for bermuda cricket for the sake of the young people
