June 18, 2015

The Ministry of Home Affairs said they wish to remind the public that the Bermuda Immigration and Protection Amendment Act 2015 that was recently passed by both houses of the Legislature is now in effect.

A spokesperson said, “The new legislation is intended to liberalize current restrictions that put a damper on the property market, encourage hotel development and boost the property market, leading to further growth in the economy and real job opportunities for Bermudians among other benefits.”

Just in case you’d overlooked this: “The new legislation is intended to liberalize current restrictions that put a damper on the property market, encourage hotel development and boost the property market, leading to further growth in the economy and real job opportunities for Bermudians among other benefits.”
Now, lets see the tides turn…Far too many are complaining about others coming to Bermuda and “taking advantage”. These people aren’t taking anything other than acknowledging opportunities; the same opportunities are also available to all Bermudians. The increase of land / business ownership was granted under the former government! Yes, the Progressive Labour Party opened them doors…
