During Friday’s [June 12] sitting of the House of Assembly, two pieces of legislation were introduced including the Insurance Amendment [No. 2] Bill 2015 and Motor Car Amendment Bill 2015.

Though these two Laws were introduce,( House of Assembly, two pieces of legislation were introduced including the Insurance Amendment [No. 2] Bill 2015 and Motor Car Amendment Bill 2015.) I am somewhat disappointed in the Motor Car Amendment Bill 2015. Yes I do agree with permitting doctors a second car but I also wish to bring to the Governments / Insurance companies attention of the cost of licensing of a motor vehicle.
Why can’t there be a reduction in the insurance and license fees footed by the owners of motor vehicles if they were not to have claimed on their insurance over a period of x amount of years? There are them that do ride / drive carelessly who are causing accidents etc…Yet, “the innocent”, e.g. pay high insurance etc. due to them who aren’t being responsible. There needs to be a change in these Laws.
