Court: Conditional Discharge For 17-Year-Old

June 2, 2015

Appearing in Magistrates Court this morning [Jun 2], a seventeen year-old female student was this morning given an eighteen month Conditional Discharge as her sentence following the provision of Court ordered reports.

The Conditional Discharge carried with it the requirement that during the eighteen months, she must complete 50 hours of Community Service and attend Anger Management Classes.

The teenager had been charged with assault, had pleaded guilty; and had submitted to investigations into her circumstances and background by the Department of Court Services.

The Conditional Discharge means that no criminal conviction will be recorded against her if she completes the eighteen month period without further incident.
