Man Denies Attacking Visitors In Dockyard

Appearing in Magistrates Court this morning [June 16] Kethyio Whitehurst  pleaded not guilty to assaulting two people inside the Increased Penalty Zone of Dockyard during the Parade of Bands on June 13th, 2015.

Mr Whitehurst also pleaded not guilty to violently resisting arrest.

In setting the trial date, the Crown Prosecutor told Senior Magistrate Juan Wolffe that the two persons identified as complainants were foreign visitors who would have to be flown back to Bermuda if they were to be witnesses at trial.

The Senior Magistrate set trial for  August 2015 and granted bail at $2,500 with one Surety.
