Two Injured In Collisions In Hamilton Parish

A 26-year-old woman was treated for injuries following a collision in Hamilton parish yesterday, while a 35-year-old man was injured in a separate collision that occurred later that day, also in Hamilton parish.

A police spokesperson said, “Around 4:30pm on Wednesday, June 3rd first responders were dispatched to a reported two vehicle collision on North Shore Road in Hamilton parish near the junction with Radnor Road, apparently involving a motorcycle and a car.

“Details remain limited at this time; however it appears that the motorcyclist, believed to be a 26 year old Warwick woman, was treated at the scene by EMTs for injuries that did not require hospital care.

“Meanwhile around 5:20pm on Wednesday, June 3rd first responders were dispatched to a reported two vehicle collision in the area of Old Farm Road and Wilkinson Avenue in Hamilton parish, also apparently involving a motorcycle and a car.

“Likewise, details remain limited at this time; however it appears that the motorcyclist, believed to be a 35 year old Smith’s parish man, was treated at the scene by EMTs for leg injuries before being taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance.

“At last check he was recovering in stable condition on a general ward.

“Traffic flow in the area of each collision was delayed but later returned to normal.

“Inquiries regarding both collisions are underway and any witnesses to either should contact the Southside Police Station on 293-2222.”
