Troncossi To Provide PR Support To IBA

July 21, 2015

TroncossiPortrait08MTroncossi Public Relations announced it has been selected by Institute of Bermuda Architects [IBA], the representative body for architects in Bermuda, to provide public relations support to the organisation.

Troncossi won the business following a bid against four organisations.

The IBA was formed in the early 1970s and succeeded the Association of Bermuda Architects following the enactment of the Architects Registration Act 1969.

In addition to promoting the local profession, IBA represents a diverse group of architect and associate members from a combined 34 firms.

Troncossi will work with IBA to communicate IBA initiatives and to develop a greater understanding and appreciation within the community of Bermuda’s unique built environment as well as the benefits of using a trained and qualified architect.

Troncossi will assist IBA with strategic communications, media relations and stakeholder engagement programmes.

Krystal Rodrigues, President of IBA, says: “The IBA is working hard, both within our membership and by reaching out to the community, to help illustrate the value of good design.

“We know that there are some misconceptions about what architects do and what value registered professionals bring to a project. We are working to change this. We look forward to working with Troncossi to disseminate these messages.”

Elizabeth Tee [pictured], Managing Director, Troncossi Public Relations, says: “The key role of an architect is to create buildings that work, that do the job that they’re supposed to do and to benefit the people that use them.

“Architects often have to solve complex problems and find exciting solutions. We look forward to expanding awareness of the role of architects through a variety of communication channels and strategies.”
