Cycling Results: BBA Madison Digicel Road Race
The Bermuda Bicycle Association’s Madison Digicel Road Race at Southside earlier today [Aug 16] was the latest action in the road racing season.
In a dramatic photo finish Mario Brooks won the 35.2 mile Adult A category clocking a time of 1:35:47.0. Dave McComas finished second clocking 1:35:47.2 and Tracy Wright finished third with a time of 1:35:47.5.
Karen Smith won the 25.6 mile Women’s Division race recording a time of 1:12:58. Martina Olcheski Bell was second clocking 1:14:51 and Wenda Roberts finished third with a time of 1:19:38.
Kaden Hopkins rode to victory in the 28.8 mile Adult B Division clocking a time of 1:18:46. Mark Lombardi was second in 1:18:47.3 and Peter Crayford was third in 1:18:47.6.
The 25.6 mile Adult C Division was won by Ricky Smith who crossed the line in a time of 1:12:56. Dirk Hasselkuss was second in 1:13:00 and Jonah Jones finished third clocking a time of 1:13:58.
