Minister Richards UK/Brussels Trip Cost $9,810

A trip in June 2015 by Finance Minister Bob Richards to the UK and Brussels to attend meetings about Solvency II and tax related matters cost $9,810.91, according to a recent listing on the Government’s travel webpage.

The trip took place from Sunday, June 21st to Friday, June 25th, and the webpage listing said: “Minister met with UK Foreign Office and European Parliament representatives on Solvency II and tax related matters.”

    Mercy… His four days worth of meals cost more than some people make in a week…for someone who is always talking about ways to save money he should have been eating bangers and mash..

    Minister Bob Richards Sir, would you please explain to them that can’t believe your recent business trip on behalf of the people / Bermuda to the U.K. and Brussels cost $9,810.91. (By the way, I along with countless others are grateful for the O.B.A. itemizing expenses e.g. showing the general public where / what had been spent.)
