Planes Divert: Mechanical & Medical Reasons

The LF Wade International Airport saw two planes land today [Aug 1] with unscheduled stops due to either mechanical problems or a medical emergency.

Air Canada flight #1500 was travelling from Toronto, Canada to Hewanorra International Airport in St. Lucia when they diverted with a mechanical issue landing at approximately 1.35pm.

American Airlines flight #2362 was on its way from Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport in Saint Kitts to New York when it diverted to the island due to a passenger taking ill. The plane is currently taking on fuel and is scheduled to depart shortly.
