Bailey’s Bay are the Premier Division Twenty20 Champions

Bailey’s Bay Win by 21 Runs: Bailey’s Bay 141/8 – Southampton Rangers 120

Southampton Rangers won the toss and elected to send Bailey’s Bay into bat, however they made a lineup error as the team sheet was handed in with Curtis Jackson’s name down as a starter, but Jackson was nowhere near the grounds leaving Southampton Rangers with on 10 players although they did have two reserves. Bailey’s Bay captain Rodney Trott did allow Southampton Rangers to bring on the reserve to field out, but they could only bat ten men.

Bailey’s Bay overcame a tactic used by Southampton Rangers that saw them keep Terryn Fray and Dennico Hollis at the crease for more than 10 overs, the fields failing to take the catches hit to them keeping Bailey’s Bay’s big hitters Irving Romaine and Malachi Jones in the pavilion, when Fray was bowled he had scored 46, while Hollis had added 42 as Bailey’s Bay reached 141/8. Dion Stovell was their top bowler with figures of 4-1-31-4, while Janeiro Tucker bowled 4-0-24-2.

In reply Southampton Rangers were bowled out for 120 in 19.3 overs, Tucker was their top scorer with 39, while Kwame Tucker added 29. Kyle Hodsoll was the pick of the Bailey’s Bay bowlers with figures of 4-0-50-3, with Jones bowling 4-1-6-2.
